At the same time, it is possible to replace manual or semi-automatic processes based on monitoring their progress.

Replacing manual processes is usually divided into three main phases

1. Monitoring the manual process

  • What was done (e.g., flipping a switch, opening a valve).
  • Why was it done (e.g., high pressure, low temperature).
  • When and in what state was the process?

2. AI assistant (semi-automatic control)

  • AI monitors the process and evaluates situations.
  • Suggests possible steps to the operator (e.g. "Reduce power, pressure is increasing").
  • Parameters are adjusted automatically, but still under supervision.

3. Fully automatic control

  • AI controls the process autonomously based on data from previous phases.
  • It responds to sensor inputs, system status, and achieves target parameters.
  • The operator has supervision and the possibility of manual intervention.
